ITP Column on the Nuclear Future for the Journal of Nuclear Materials Management
ITP Principal Partner, Jack Jekowski, has been asked to be a regular guest columnist for the Journal of Nuclear Materials Management (JNMM), a quarterly publication of the Institute of Nuclear Material Management (INMM). The first column, entitled “Taking the Long View in a Time of Great Uncertainty” appeared in the Fall 2010 Edition of the JNMM (Vol. 39, Issue 1) and focused on the nuclear future as it impacts the Institute, raising challenges to the membership to identify how they may be able to assist policy makers in their quest toward securing nuclear materials and weapons. A second column, published in the Winter Edition of 2011 of the JNMM is entitled “Taking the Long View in a Time of Great Uncertainty: Focusing on the Nuclear Fuel Cycle” and discusses the “nuclear renaissance” prior to the Japanese earthquake, tsunami and resulting nuclear disaster at the Fukishima Daiichi Power Plant complex. In the Spring JNMM issue Jack address the social media impact on the uprisings in the Middle East, and the long term impact on the Institute. The Summer JNMM column will focus on the Fukishima accident and its long term strategic impacts on nuclear power worldwide. Mr. Jekowski is a Senior Member of the INMM, and a Member at Large for the Southwest Chapter of INMM.
